Bert Smeets and los Amecos is a group of MU Maastricht University students, singers, filmmakers, to give their view, facts on climate change.

They are Noémi Shirin, Sophie BT, Martin Saéz del Val and singer-songwriter Bert Smeets. This international crew is from France/ Canada / Germany / Spain / the Netherlands / UK with a lot of students from other countries like Italy, Belgium, Sweden, Norway, India you name it but they have one thing in common…..being young and rebellious and aware of the climate facts.

Is there any news from the Rebellion front? Yes, there is. We don’t judge people any more on base of gender, dress code or sexual orientation. Based on prejudices or nationality. Climate JUSTICE, ANIMALS DO WANT TO LIVE TO RAG FOR…ANIMAL RIGHTS.

Permafrost at outposts in the Canadian Arctic is thawing 70 years earlier than predicted, an expedition has discovered, in the latest sign that the global climate crisis is accelerating even faster than scientists had feared.

A team from the University of Alaska Fairbanks said they were astounded by how quickly a succession of unusually hot summers had destabilised the upper layers of giant subterranean ice blocks that had been frozen solid for millennia.

“What we saw was amazing,” Vladimir Romanovsky, a professor of geophysics at the university, told Reuters. “It’s an indication that the climate is now warmer than at any time in the last 5,000 or more years.“
